How sweet is this vintage sterling silver brooch?! Featuring a swallow in flight with flowers to either side, the swallow and two of the flowers have been given a rose gold wash which makes them stand out against the silver.

The brooch is made of sterling silver with British hallmarks to the back for the makers 'S.Bros', sterling silver, Birmingham and the date letter 'p' for 1914. To the back is simple tube hinged pin with a c clasp.

The brooch weighs approx 2.7g in total and measures approx 43mm wide (not including the pin) by approx 16.8mm tall.

Condition - The brooch is in good antique condition for a piece that is over 100 years old but does show several signs of age and wear. There is surface wear to the silver and rose gold wash. The brooch panel is bent in places and there would have been four 'ball' details, one to the top, one to the left, one to the right and one to the bottom. The one to the right is now missing and the one to the bottom is damaged.  The pin fastening still works but is a little misshapen. There are two airholes to the back from when the brooch was made. This little brooch does look to have lived quite the life and does show significant signs of age. Please see photos.

*Please note the antique box pictured is not included in the sale but the brooch will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
