Said to symbolise cleverness, foxes are known an as cunning creatures. In some cultures, they are viewed as a guide to help you navigate the spirit world too!
We love the detail that's gone into highlighting this beautiful fox's features. It's quite unusual in style as the back looks as though it has been coated in some kind of resin and the fox's head has quite fine detail that looks as though it has been carved. The front also has a copper coloured layer to it and the pendant overall is quite heavy, weighing over 15g so we're not entirely sure how it has been made.
The pendant measures approx 40.1mm tall (including the bail at the top but not the jump ring) by approx 30mm wide by approx 15.5mm deep and weighs approx 15.5g in total.
Condition - The pendant is in good vintage condition but it does show signs of age and wear. There is some tarnishing to the copper coloured layer to the front and it has dicoloured in places. The back is also a little uneven with airholes. The bail is brass in colour and sunk into the resign back and the jump ring is silver in colour and currently pushed closed. It's quite a rustic looking vintage pendant but we love how much character it has! Please see photos.
