We love a vintage charm with a hidden secret and this vintage sterling silver cauldron charm definitely hides a creepy secret inside!  Shaped like a witch's cauldron, the front is engraved with the message 'STEWING POT' and the cauldron opens to reveal a figure tied up on a chair inside, stewing away! 

It would definitely make a real talking point when worn on a necklace or it could be added in with other spooky charms onto a bracelet too.

Made of sterling silver, the charm is tested and marked 'SILVER' to the top although this mark is quite faint and worn now.

The charm measures approx 16mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 13mm wide by approx 11mm deep and weighs approx 3.4g in total.

The jump ring is attached to the bottom of the cauldron so it hangs upside down when worn.

Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including some surface wear and patina to the silver. The 'SILVER' mark to the top and the 'STEWING POT' writing to the front are now both quite worn and the letters have faded in places. The hinge mechanism still works well but the charm doesn't quite close fully so it can open on its own when worn. As it hangs upside down via the jump ring it generally rests closed when worn. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
