Whether you know them as ladybirds or ladybugs, we can't help but love to spot these colourful creatures in our garden! They are considered by many to be symbols of good luck, with some people even believing that the number of spots predicting how many years of good luck you'll have if they land on you!
We love the vibrant red and black enamel on this ladybird charm, it really makes her pop against the silver. The charm is also shaped like a book and opens like a locket too!
The charm is made of silver, unhallmarked but tested. There are what looks to be some tiny hallmarks to the ring at the top that the jump ring connects to but these are only partially marked and hard to read clearly.
The charm measures approx 14.2mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 10.9mm wide by approx 3.6mm deep (all measurements when closed) and weighs approx 1.3g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but the enamel is worn in places and the silver shows wear and has lots of tarnishing inside. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
