One of our favourite styles of chains to find, this vintage silver cable link chain is such a useful piece to add to your jewellery box.
The chain is such a versatile piece as you can wear it as it is, layer it with other chains or use the sturdy, chunky links as a base for a charm necklace.
The chain is made of sterling silver, tested, the end link does have some partially visible hallmarked but they are hard to read clearly. One looks as though it could be for 925. The bold ring clasp is also marked '925'. We think it's likely circa 1960s/70s in age.
The chain measures approx 24 inches long including the clasp. The chain weighs approx 36g in total and the curb link measures approx 5.6mm wide by approx 7.5mm long.
Condition - The chain is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear and some tarnishing/patina to the silver. The bolt ring clasp still works well. The ring the bolt ring clasp connects to the chain via is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and the charms pictured in the fifth photo are not included in the sale but the chain will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch. The charms are available to purchase separately.*
