We love searching for antique and vintage charms as you never know what you're going to find next - just like this wonderfully detailed and unusual enamel and gold Players cigarettes charm.
Smoking definitely isn't cool kids but we sure do love how tiny and incredibly detailed the charm is! The charm is made of 9ct gold, unhallmarked but tested, and both the front and back have wonderful enamel detail. Without hallmarks, it's hard to date the charm exactly but we think it's likely from circa 1940s/50s.
The charm measures approx 16.1mm tall by approx 9.3mm wide (not including the jump ring) by approx 1.9mm deep and weighs approx 1.7g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show significant signs of age and wear including nibbling, surface wear and some loss to the enamel to both sides of the charm and also some surface wear to the gold. The jump ring looks to have previously been cut open and is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
