This vintage 9ct gold globe charm has the sweetest, hand painted globe that actually turns and includes countries, continents and oceans including Great Britain, Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Given the charm's size, these names are abbreviated to fit.
The outer frame of the globe is made of 9ct yellow gold and is marked '9ct' to the bottom of the base, this mark is now quite worn but can just about still be made out. Without further hallmarks, it's hard to date exactly but we think it likely dates to the 1950s.
The charm weighs approx 2g and measures approx 20.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 14mm wide and the globe measures approx 10mm in diameter.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear to the gold frame and the hand painted globe. The hand painting to the globe is overall in very good condition with just light signs of age and wear, the gold does however have dark marks to it in several places, likely from old solder marks. Please note the globe is not made of gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
