Rare and highly collectable, we completely fell head over heals in love as soon as we saw this bean charm! A symbol of luck, as well as rebirth and new beginnings, it even has a lovely little pink paste stone set near the top too.
The charm is made of gold that tests as 9ct, the charm is unhallmarked. If is quite rosey and warm in tone with some areas that are a little yellower in tone. Without hallmarks it's hard to date the charm exactly but we believe it's early-mid 20th Century in age.
The charm measures approx 17.5mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 8.7mm wide by approx 5.5mm deep (including the pink paste stone) and weighs approx 0.8g in total. The charm is hollow in the middle and has been made by joining two halves of the bean together so there is a seam line that runs around the sides.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show significant signs of age and wear, including some indents, tarnishing and surface wear to the gold. The glass stone is now quite worn and aged and has quite a rough surface when looked at under magnification. There is a small hole in the seam line which we believe is from when the charm was made. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
