Moonstone is such an enchanting gemstone. When the light catches it, the stone glows such beautiful shades of blue. We can't help but think of magical crystal balls when we see it!
The moonstone has been cut as a high cabochon that catches the light so prettily. It's one of the nicest moonstone charms we've ever found - like a little dew drop!
The moonstone cabochon has been set in a lovely and simple gold setting with the back open to let the light through the stone. The charm is unhallmarked but the gold tests as 9ct.
The charm measures approx 9mm tall (not including the jump ring) 6.1mm wide by approx 5mm deep and weighs approx 0.4g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some light signs of age and wear to both the gold and moonstone. When the light doesn't catch the stone, the moonstone can appear almost clear in places. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
