Sail away with me! This vintage gold ship in a bottle charm is such a sweet one. Featuring a plastic bottle, the top and bottom of the bottle, along with the ship inside are made from 9ct gold.
The gold sections of the bottle and ship are wonderfully detailed. The bottom of the bottle is marked 'Nuvo' for the famous charm maker. There does also look to be British hallmarks to the bottom section of the bottle, inside the plastic so these cannot be read clearly. We believe given the style of the charm and the maker it likely dates to the 1960s/70s.
The charm weighs approx 4.1g in total and measures approx 31.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 10.2mm wide by approx 10mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some surface wear to the gold and plastic. The bottom of the bottle is attached to the ship inside, there is then a gold wire that connects the ship to the fitting at the top so there is a little movement in the different sections. The jump ring is currently pushed closed.
