We can't help but be drawn to vintage and antique dog jewellery, you never know which breed you're going to find next! This vintage gold German Shepherd/Alsation charm has the sweetest details, just look at its ruby eyes and it even has its tongue out!
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has a lovely weight to it of over 6g. It did look to have once had British hallmarks to one side of the dog's body but these have almost completely worn away. We think the charm likely dates to around the 1960s/70s.
The dog has two glinting ruby eyes and the charm has wonderful detailing throughout. The charm can even stand up on its own - we always see this as a sign of a very well made charm!
The charm measures approx 23.5mm tall by approx 30mm nose to tail by approx 9.3mm deep and weighs approx 6.45g. The charm is hollow in the centre with two airholes to the underneath. For a hollow charm it has still been made with a good deal of strength.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some surface wear to the gold and ruby eyes. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
