We love signet rings, their designs are often so timeless making them classic pieces to add to your jewellery box for years to come.
 
This sweet vintage signet ring is made of 9ct gold, unhallmarked but tested and has a lovely warm, rosy tone to it. The face features a stag with a banner underneath that reads 'OMA' which is actually in reverse so when marking a wax seal it would read 'AMO'. 'AMO' and the stag is the Clan Scott family crest and means 'To love'.
 
Ring size - the ring measures approx a UK N / approx a US 6.5 on a ring mandrel
 
The ring weighs approx 5.7g and the face measures approx 11mm by 9.2mm and the shank tapers down to approx 2.8mm wide at the back of the shank.
 
Condition - The ring is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear. There is surface wear to the gold including surface scratches which gives the ring a worn and lived in feel. There is a previous resize mark to the back of the shank. Please see photos.
