Rare and highly collectable, we completely fell head over heals in love as soon as we saw this vintage gold bean charm! A symbol of luck, as well as rebirth and new beginnings, we love that is has been paired with a sweet anchor charm too which are said to symbolise hope, stability and steadfastness.
The two charms are made of gold, unhallmarked but test as 9ct. Both are hollow and each has a small airhole from when the charms were made.
The bean charm measures approx 17.4mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 8.4mm wide by approx 5mm deep. The anchor measures approx 18.1mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 11.6mm wide by approx 2mm deep. The charm weighs approx 1.25g in total. The charms are hollow in the middle and have been made by joining two halves together so there is a seam line that runs around the sides.
Condition - The pair of charms are in good vintage condition but do show signs of age and wear, including wear and light dents to the gold, to the front, back and sides. The anchor has a pattern to the front and there are some small gaps in the gold. The jump ring that attaches the two charms is pushed closed and the second jump ring is made of base metal and is soldered closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
