This gold belcher chain ring likely started life as part of a long necklace. At some point in time, a small section of the chain has been taken and soldered together to create an unusual chain ring. We love that is has movement in the chain and the gold ball detail is such a lovely touch with such a pretty chased design.
The ring is made of 9ct gold, unhallmarked but tested. The ring weighs approx 0.85g and the belcher link is approx 2.2mm wide. The ball measures approx 6mm in diameter. The ball is hollow in the centre.
Ring size - the ring measures up at approx a US 8 / approx a UK P 1/2 on a ring mandrel. This style of ring does fit snugger on the finger than it usually measures on a mandrel.
Condition - The chain of the ring is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear including some surface wear to the gold. One side of the ball is slightly indented. Please see photos.
