This vintage tortoise charms is one of the most incredible examples we've ever found! The tortoise's shell is beautifully decorated with twelve small blue sapphires and the head, feet and tail even move. The tortoise even has two small diamond eyes too! A super sweet charm if you love the animal.
The charm is made of gold, unhallmarked but tests as 9ct gold and the shell has a silver detail.
The charm measures approx 20.8mm nose to tail (not including the jump ring) by approx 13.5mm wide by approx 7.5mm deep and weighs approx 3.3g. The tortoise is hollow in the centre.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some surface wear to the gold and sapphires and diamonds. There is discolouration the the tortoise's body underneath where the gold has been previously acid tested. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
