This beautiful vintage sterling silver and rose gold fob has been given a new lease of life in our Engraved With Love collection. Each piece is lovingly picked and engraved with a word or phrase, making them the perfect love token or personalised gift.
 
We found this vintage silver fob with a blank rose gold washed shield, just calling out to be engraved with a sweet sentiment. We engraved the quote 'The human heart has hidden treasures' taken from Charlotte Brontë's Evening Solace which implies that some of your most precious thoughts don't always need to be shared for them to come true.  
 
To the front of the fob there is also a beautiful round border with belt buck detailing towards the bottom and scroll work detailing to the top too. 
 
The fob also has its original British hallmarks on the back for the maker HB&S Birmingham, sterling silver and the date letter Z for 1924.
 
We've strung the engraved fob on a new sterling silver belcher link chain so it's ready to wear. The chain measures approx 18 inches long and has a bolt ring clasp. The tag near the clasp is marked '925' for sterling silver. The chain link measures approx 2mm wide and the chain weighs approx 2.75g in total.
 
The fob measures approx 34mm tall (not including the jump ring at the top) by approx 23mm wide and weighs approx 5.85g.
 
Condition - the fob is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to both the silver and rose gold, please see photos.
