This vintage carved coral hand charm is such a beautifully detailed piece. We love the hand carved details to the hand, including tiny fingers and even tinier finger nails! The hand is even wearing jewellery too, a sweet gold bracelet with a tiny turquoise stone set into it.

The hand has been captured in a closed fist position that has a small hole passing through the clenched fingers. We think it could have once has a ring through it that held another tiny charm. You could even add one today if you like!

The little and pointer fingers do look to have once been longer, in a pointed/straight position rather than clenched, these likely broke at some point in time as they'd have been very thin and delicate. Instead these two fingers have been smoothed over so the damage isn't as noticeable.

The hand is made of coral and the cap at the top and little bracelet are made of gold, unhallmarked but tests as at least 9ct. The jump ring is made of base metal and is soldered closed. 

The charm measures approx 22.4mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 7.1mm wide by approx 6.7mm deep and weighs approx 1.1g in total.

Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear to the coral, tiny turquoise and fittings. As mentioned above, the pointer and little finger looked to have been in a pointed out/straight position originally but likely broke at some point in time with wear so they have been smoothed down to give the hand a clenched fist appearance instead. The jump ring is currently soldered closed so although it isn't gold like the fittings, we have left it as is. Please see photos.
