How unusual is this vintage banded agate ring!? It's been carved from a single piece of agate that has wonderful natural stripes. The stone has a mixture of very dark brown/black colours right through to white/greys. The face has been carved flat, like a signet ring, too.
The ring weighs approx 1.25g and measures approx 5.1mm wide at the front of the ring, tapering down to approx 2.7mm wide at the back of the ring. The flat face of the ring measures approx 10.6mm by 5.1mm.
Ring size - approx a US size 8 / approx a UK P 1/2
Condition - The ring is in good vintage condition but it does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the agate in places and some small nibbles. The face of the ring does have some wear to it near to one of the edges and the sides of the ring have wear too. Please see photos.
