Originally made as a fob case to hold your stamps, this vintage base metal opening envelope makes such a beautiful pendant.
We love how detailed it is to both the front and back and when you open the flap of the envelope you'll see inside there is a small divider so there are two compartments, we presume which once would have held two different types of stamps.
The envelope is made of base metal which is a gold/brass colour.
The jump ring is attached to one side of the envelope so when it is worn it hangs sideways. The envelope measures approx 45.6mm tall (including the ring the jump ring attaches to but not the jump ring) by approx 27.2mm wide by approx 5mm deep at it's deepest point and weighs approx 11g in total.
Condition - The pendant is in good, wearable antique condition but it does show signs of age and wear. There is surface wear to the base metal throughout. The envelope flap opens well and closes with a click. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
