We love finding pieces that have been inspired by the Art Nouveau period. The style is often so romantic and feminine, it's very fitting that this brooch features a lady and bird design.
The bird looks a lot like a swallow and has been positioned as if swooping over the lady's shoulder, and her hair is flowing in the breeze.
The brooch is vintage, likely circa 1980s/90s in age and is made of silver, marked 'STERLING' to the back. To the back is a pin style fastening with an end that partially twists to act as a safety mechanism.
The brooch measures approx 37.3mm tall by approx 39.4mm wide by approx 2.1mm deep (not including the pin fastening to the back) and weighs approx 14.4g in total.
Condition - The brooch is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear including surface wear and some tarnishing. The pin fastening still works well. Please see photos
