Known as the goddess of the hunt, the moon, and nature, Roman Goddess Diana is often equated with the Greek Goddess Artemis. She is traditionally viewed as the protector of woodlands, wild animals, and women in childbirth
We think this vintage pendant depicts a side profile of Goddess Diana/Artemis, you can see her arrows on her back. The other side also depicts a lovely wreath type detail too. The central medallion looks to be Art Nouveau in style.
The central medallion style disc is silver in colour and is held in a copper toned base metal frame, styled like a ribbon with a beautiful twist on each of the four sides. There's also four pretty ball details too. The pendant is unmarked/unhallmarked.
The pendant measures approx 29.2mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 24.6mm wide by approx 2.6mm deep and weighs approx 2.4g in total.
Condition - The pendant is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear including surface wear and some tarnishing. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos
*Please note the antique chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the pendant will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
