We love the classic, romantic style of heart jewellery and this vintage heart is such a lovely shape. Known as the 'witch's heart' the point of the heart is more pronounced than a normal heart shape, with the point facing in more of a sideways direction rather than downwards. This style of heart was said to be a talisman, helping to ward off evil and later became known as a symbol of being 'bewitched with love'.

The charm would be perfect for engraving with a name, special date or perhaps a pair of initials.

The charm is made of 9ct gold and is partially marked '375' to the back.

The charm measures approx 18.2mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 13.6mm wide by approx 0.9mm deep and the charm weighs approx 2.1g in total.

Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear including surface wear to the gold with some noticeable scratches in places to the front and back. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
