Love to travel and see the world? Then this could be the perfect charm for you! This vintage 9ct gold globe charm actually turns and has wonderful details depicting continents and oceans. The globe turns on the central axis that holds the jump ring at the top and there is an equator line in the middle that also moves.
The charm is made of 9ct gold with British hallmarks for 9ct gold. There is what looks to be a London Assay hallmark and date letter but the date letter hallmark is hard to read due to it being stamped on the raised design of the charm. We think it's likely circa 1950s/60s in age. there is also a maker's mark but this is also hard to read clearly.
The charm weighs approx 3.4g (the globe is hollow in the centre) and measures approx 16.8mm tall (not including the jump ring but including the bobble to the bottom and the ring to the top that the jump ring connects to). The globe measures approx 12.2mm in diameter.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear to the gold including some surface wear. The globe is attached via a gold pole in the centre which as well as turning, the globe can move slightly up and down this pole. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
