We love searching for antique and vintage charms as you never know what you're going to find next - just like this wonderfully detailed and unsual gold Players cigarettes charm.
Smoking definitely isn't cool kids but we sure do love how tiny and sweet this vintage gold charm is! The charm is made of 9ct gold and is marked '9ct' to the back. the cigarettes have a silver or white gold wash for contrast and the front has been hand engraved 'Players' for the cigarette brand. Without further marks, it's hard to date the charm exactly but we think it's likely from circa 1940s/50s.
The charm measures approx 12mm tall by approx 12.9mm wide (not including the jump ring) by approx 1mm deep and weighs approx 1.4g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear including some surface wear to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed and is newer in age. Please see photos.
