This vintage gold petite locket is such a lovely piece. It may be small but it has plenty of room inside to keep a little memento! We love its round shape, making it look like a simple round medallion charm/pendant until you take a closer up and realise it opens.
The locket is made of 9ct gold and is marked '9ct' to the back. The gold has a slightly warm, rosey tone to it. The jump ring is a newer 9ct gold ring that is yellower in tone.
The locket measures approx 11.2mm tall (not including the fitting at the top or the jump ring) by approx 10.5mm wide (when closed) by approx 2.8mm deep and weighs approx 1g.
Condition - The locket is in good vintage condition but it does show significant signs of age and wear. There is surface wear to the gold throughout, including dings to the front and back. There are also some scratches to the gold in places. We've tried to take photos from different angles to show the wear to the front panel. Inside the gold is discoloured in places The jump ring is currently pushed closed. The hinge mechanism of the locket still works well and the locket clicks closed. Please see photos.
