We love coming across celestial charms and this vintage gold man in the moon has such character!
 
The charm is double sided, with each side showing the moon's face. The charm is made of 9ct gold, unhallmarked but tested. We believe it likely dates to the 1980s/90s.
 
The charm weighs approx 0.6g and measures approx 19.2mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 8mm wide by approx 3.1mm deep. The moon is detailed to both sides and is hollow in the middle.
 
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including light surface wear to the gold. There is a small indent to the top of the moon’s face on either side, as the lines almost mirror each other we think they could be part of the moon’s facial features and added when the charm was made. Or they could possibly be from previous wear. The moon has been made by joining two halves of the charm together so there is a seam line that runs around the edge. Towards the top of the moon, this seam line has opened up slightly so there is a gap to the inside. We have priced the charm to reflect this defect. The jump ring is currently pushed closed.
