We love finding engraved charms and this vintage medallion shaped gold disc has such fabulous engraving to the front that reads '29th'. We love the multi line style of the font, perhaps the 29th was a date that meant a lot to someone - maybe a leap year baby.
We think it makes a fun charm for someone wanting to commemorate the last year of their twenties. Or maybe 29 is your lucky number. We'll never know for sure why it was originally engraved with '29th' but it's fun to think of the many things it could have represented.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has a partially visible '9ct' mark to the back.
The charm measures approx 22mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 18.6mm in diameter by aprox 0.6mm deep and weighs approx 2g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but it does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. The 9ct mark to the back looks to have been repeated a further two times making it slightly harder to read. The jump ring is currently pushed closed and has an old solder mark to it.
