Said to symbolise love, friendship and trust, this clasped/shaking hands charm is also known as a fede charm. We've come across fede rings before, featuring the clasped hands motif, but this is the first charm we've ever found with this design!
The charm is made of 9ct gold, marked '9ct' to the back and is a mixture of both yellow and rose gold tones. Without further hallmarks, it's hard to date the charm exactly but we think it's likely early to mid 20th Century in age.
The charm measures approx 8.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 12.2mm wide by approx 2.2mm deep and weighs approx 0.35g. The charm is hollow in the centre.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some surface wear to the gold and small indents throughout. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
