Rare and highly collectable, we completely fell head over heals in love as soon as we saw this vintage gold bean charm! A symbol of luck, as well as rebirth and new beginnings, it even has a lovely little ruby set near the bottom too. It would make such a special piece for a July babe!
The charm is made of 9ct gold, marked '9ct' to the back. Without further marks, it's hard to date exactly but we believe it's early-mid 20th Century in age. The gold is a mixture of rose and yellow tones.
The charm measures approx 19.3mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 9mm wide by approx 5mm deep and weighs approx 0.65g in total. The charm is hollow in the middle and has been made by joining two halves of the bean together so there is a faint seam line that runs around the sides and a small air hole to the bottom of the charm.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show significant signs of age and wear, including dents to the gold, to the front back and sides, and also surface wear to the gold and the ruby stone. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
