One of our favourite styles of chains to find, this vintage 9ct gold curb link chain is such a versatile piece to add to your jewellery box!
Chains like these were originally designed as watch chains to attach a pocket watch to, but now they make such lovely necklaces when the clips are connected together like a clasp.
This chain is super versatile as you can wear it with the clasps to the back and the T-bar to the front, or in reverse with the clasps at the front - and these make fantastic charm holders too!
The chain is made of 9ct gold which has a lovely rose gold colour to it. It has British hallmarks for 9ct gold, the Birmingham Assay Office imort mark and the date letter 'Q' for 1990.
The chain measures approx 18 3/4 inches long (approx 47.5cm) including the clasps (not including the T-bar and drop). The T-bar is on a fixed drop in the centre of the chain and this drop measures approx 15mm. The T-bar measures approx 28.1mm wide and the curb link is approx 3mm wide. The chain weighs approx 6.6g in total.
Condition - The chain is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear, including some light surface wear to the gold. The dog clips still work well, please note they are petite in size but can still hold a charm or two each. Please see photos.
