How sweet is this vintage 9ct gold Welsh love spoon charm featuring a pair of love birds with a diamond set heart at the top!
Welsh love spoons are intricately carved wooden spoons that symbolise love and affection, traditionally given as gifts to signify romantic intent. Originally carved in wood, the practice is believed to have started in the 17th century.
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks on the back for the maker 'JAM', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'J' for 1983.
The charm measures approx 27.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 7.9mm wide by approx 1mm deep and the charm weighs approx 1.15g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold and diamond. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
