This large vintage 9ct gold koi fish makes quite the statement ring! Beautifully detailed, the koi fish has lovely scale detailing and even has two ruby eyes too. A ring for a Pisces, someone who loves fish or perhaps a keen swimmer! Kois are said to represent perseverance, courage and accomplishment too so it would make a great symbolic piece!
The ring is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks for the maker 'PPLD', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'D' for 1978.
The ring weighs approx 5.2g and measures approx 15.6mm wide to the front and the shank tapers down to approx 2.8mm wide at the back. The fish also has some lovely height to it when worn and sits approx 6mm tall from the finger. Inside of the fish is hollow.
Ring size - approx a US 8 / approx a UK Q (there is also a tiny bit of wiggle room under the fish with it being hollow underneath)
Condition - The ring is in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear, including some light surface wear to the gold and two rubies. Please see photos.
