This sweet vintage gold and enamel Cornwall shield charm would make the perfect addition to a collection to if it's your home town, or perhaps you've visited or have family from the English city! We love the vibrant enamel depicting what are known as golden roundels or bezants. The origin of this symbol and how the county came to adopt such a symbol is a mystery which makes us love this charm all the more!
The charm is made of 9ct gold with British hallmarks to the back for the maker 'WBS', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'B' for 1976.
The charm weighs approx 1.5g and measures approx 16.5mm tall (not including the jump ring) by 11.9mm wide.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with light surface wear to the gold and the enamel. The enamel overall is in very good condition. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
