The perfect wearable reminder that time is precious! This vintage gold and glass hourglass charm actually has sand inside that moves from top to bottom like a real hourglass. The top and bottom sections of the gold frame are really pretty too with a scalloped design.
The frame of the hourglass is made of 9ct gold with British hallmarks to the bottom for what looks to be the maker 'BLD', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'A' for 1975 (some of these marks are a not a little rubbed and hard to make out). The top also has the maker's mark 'BLD'. The frame holds the glass hourglass inside which has light pink coloured sand inside that moves like a real hourglass from top to bottom when the charm is tipped.
The charm measures approx 25mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 10.9mm wide by approx 9.5mm deep and weighs approx 1.95g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear, including some light surface wear to the gold. The glass hourglass rests inside the gold frame, it isn't glued, so there is some movement of it but it is trapped inside the frame and cannot come out. The gold frame is a little misshapen. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
