We can't help but fall in love with nostalgic charms and this vintage 1970s gold alarm clock charm is just that! In an age when many often use their phone as their alarm, we love to reminisce about traditional alarm clocks with their shrill bells to the top!
The charm is wonderfully detailed with a card/paper clock face, the hands are set to half past 11, and a gold bell to the top. There is even a circular gold base to the bottom so the charm stands like a real alarm clock.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks for the maker 'ZLD', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'A' for 1975. The clock face is made of card/paper.
The charm measures approx 22.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 12.3mm wide by approx 6.7mm deep and the charm weighs approx 1.85g in total. The charm is hollow in the centre.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear to both the gold and the cardboard/paper clock face. There is surface wear to the gold and the cardboard clock face shows signs of age and wear as it is not covered. It does look to be lifting slightly at the edges but is still secure. Care will need to be taken to not get this charm wet or let it come into contact with liquids of any kind as this will damage the clock face. One side of the cardboard clock face has been pushed in slightly so the numbers have been pushed in to that side. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
