How cute is this cat in a bin charm!? We love that it's been made with such incredible detail from the cat leaning over into the top of the open bin, to the bottom opening to reveal what looks to be a tiny gold rat hiding beneath fish bones!
We've found much smaller vintage gold cat in a bin charms before but never one as chunky and well detailed as this! Especially with a bottom that opens to reveal the inside detail too.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, with British hallmarks to the outside of the bin for the maker 'JS LD', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'Y' for 1973.
The charm weighs approx 3.9g and measures approx 12.8mm tall by approx 14.6mm wide (not including the jump ring) by approx 10.3mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with just some signs of age and wear, including some light surface wear to the gold to the outside of the charm. There are some dark marks/tarnishing to the inside of the bin. The bin base opens well and clicks closed. There is a little movement in the base section when closed. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
