We love jewellery that's functional as well as beautiful! This vintage fold out gold magnifying glass charm may be tiny, but it actually works. It's a lovely rare charm to find these days, especially in gold.
The charm is made of 9ct gold an has British hallmarks to one side for the maker 'E.S&Co', 9ct gold, Birmingham and what looks to be the date letter 'X' for 1972. There is also a partial mark visible on the magnifying glass arm that folds out that looks to read '9.375' too.
The charm measures approx 25mm long when the magnifying glass is folded in (not including the jump ring) by approx 11mm wide by approx 4.4mm deep and weighs approx 3g in total. When the magnifying glass is folded out, the charm measures approx 37.8mm long (not including the jump ring).
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear. There is some surface wear to the gold and also to the round magnifying glass panel. The magnifying glass does have some wear to it to but still works well. The jump ring is currently soldered closed and has a small solder mark to it. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique boxes and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
