This vintage, heavy, gold fruit/slot charm is such a sweet piece! Perfect if you love to take risks or love a little flutter. It has such lovely detailing throughout and is three dimensional too so it looks so pretty from all angles. The lever at the side moves up and down and the fruit barrel inside does move slightly too.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks on the bottom for 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'q' for 1971. The maker's mark is now a little worn but looks to be 'IJLD'.
The charm weighs approx 7.1g so it's a lovely weighty charm and measures approx 17.2mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 14.1mm wide by approx 10.8mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear, including some surface wear to the gold, including rubbing to the pointed hand at the top. There is a tiny amount of enamel inside on a lemon, we think all of the fruit symbols may have once been enamelled but it's hard to say as there isn't a lot of enamel left visible. We believe the lever may once have turned the barrel inside but the lever now just moves independently up and down and is a little loose so it does move on its own when worn. The barrel does move slightly on its own when the charm is moved about and worn. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
