Sail away with me! This vintage gold ship in a bottle charm is such a sweet one. Featuring a plastic bottle, the top and bottom of the bottle, along with the ship inside are made from 9ct gold.
The gold sections of the bottle and ship are wonderfully detailed. The bottom of the bottle has British hallmarks for the maker 'FM, 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'p' for 1970.
The charm weighs approx 5.2g in total and measures approx 34mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 20mm wide by approx 10.4mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in well worn vintage condition and shows signs of age and wear to both the gold and plastic. the plastic has discoloured over time and where the gold has rubbed the plastic there are dark/black coloured marks in places. The gold sections are all connected and the plastic sections rests in the middle of the top and bottom of the bottle, as a result the plastic bottle section moves and isn't firmly attached so the base can looks to swivel almost. We've tried to show this in the best we can in the photos above. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. We have priced the charm according to its condition. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
