How sweet is this vintage, 1970s gold and enamel bluebell charm!? We love that it's a bluebell on a bell that actually chimes! In the Language of Flowers, bluebells are said to symbolise humility, constancy, gratitude and everlasting love. Apparently, if you can turn a bluebell flower inside out without damaging it, you will win the heart of the one you love and if you wear a wreath of bluebells you will only be able to speak the truth. Such a sweet flower with such a special sentiment!
The charm is made of 9ct gold with enamel bluebell detail to the front. The back has British hallmarks for the maker 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'V' for 1970.
There is a tiny 9ct gold pendulum inside that means when the charm moves, it rings like an actual bell!
The charm weighs approx 1.2g and measures approx 14.3mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 13.7mm wide by approx 7.2mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear, including light surface wear to the gold and enamel. The bell still chimes well. The jump ring is attached to the bell's handle and can move from side to side. It is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
