We love coming across celestial charms and this vintage gold man in the moon charm is such a special and highly collectable one! It's the first we've ever found with a gold eagle - a piece of memorabilia made in celebration of the first human to land on the moon in 1969, a wearable piece of history!
The back of the eagle features the landing date, 20-7-69, and the eagle represents the astronauts', Neil Armstong and Buzz Aldrin's, american nationality.
The charm is wonderfully detailed throughout and is made of 9ct yellow gold. It has British hallmarks to the back for the maker 'A.J.M', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'u' for 1969. These hallmarks are now quite worn.
The charm weighs approx 2g and measures approx 22mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 19mm wide by approx 1mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear, including light surface wear to the gold. The gold jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
