Symbolising enduring love between two people, love knots are said to represent eternal love and unity as well as fidelity and commitment.
This vintage gold rope charm holds such a lot of symbolism for such a small piece! We love the rope design and the detail of the knot. Crafted in 9ct gold, the charm has British hallmarks for 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'U' for 1969. There does also look to be a maker's mark near the hallmarks but due to the rope pattern on the gold it isn't marked clearly.
The charm weighs approx 1.2g and measures approx 18.5mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 6.2mm wide by approx 2.6mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show light signs of age and wear including light surface wear to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
