This vintage 1960s gold stag/reindeer charm looks like it's been modelled as a miniature horse brass. These horse brasses were worn as decorations usually on shire and parade horses and became popular in England from the mid 19th Century. This vintage charm is made of solid gold and the stag/reindeer has such detailing throughout - just look at those mini antlers! We also love the scalloped edge border too.
The charm is made of 9ct solid yellow gold and has British hallmarks on the back for the maker 'SP', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'S' for 1967.
The charm measures approx 23.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 17.7mm wide by approx 3mm deep and the charm weighs approx 2.4g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
