Just look at this vintage gold violin case charm, complete with a tiny gold violin! We can't believe how incredibly detailed the charm is, from the case with its tiny handle, to the miniature gold violin inside that can actually be removed.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks inside the case for 9ct gold and to the outside of the case to one side for the maker 'AJH', 9ct gold Birmingham and the date letter 'Q' for 1965.
The charm weighs approx 2.3g in total and the case measures approx 19mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 9.5mm wide by approx 5.4mm deep. The violin measures approx 12.6mm tall by 4.5mm wide by approx 2.7mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. It does look like the violin was once attached inside the case and wouldn't have been removeable. It looks as if the top of the violin is still in the top of the case. The case hinge still works well and the charm clicks closed. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
