This is one of the best drink-themed charms we've ever found! Weighing a hefty 7.2g, the charm is made of 9ct gold and reads 'LONDON GIN 70%' to the front and '1911' to the back. And the best part!? The gold lid actually unscrews!
We haven't tested its storage capabilities so we can’t promise a little tipple can be kept inside but it’s still such a wonderful charm and such a weighty one too!
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks on the bottom for the maker 'FM', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'i' for 1964. The charm is hollow in the centre but has been made very sturdily with a large amount of gold to give the bottle strength.
The charm measures approx 27.5mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 12.8mm wide by approx 9mm deep and weighs approx 7.2g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. The stopped unscrews well. Once unscrewed it is fully detached from the charm. There is what looks to be a gold stick inside the bottle that when tipped upside down and signed with the bottle neck, sticks out of the bottle opening but cannot be removed by hand. We’re not sure if this was once maybe a filling aid but we do not known the charm is able to hold liquids without leaking. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos
