Have you ever heard of the phrase 'A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush'? It means to prioritise certainty over risk, hold on to the sure thing rather than chasing a larger reward that is not guaranteed. 
 
We think this sweet 1960s British gold charm is a way to represent the phrase, the perfect piece for someone who's not much of a risk taker (don't worry, that's us too!). 
 
The charm is wonderfully detailed throughout and the bird is attached to the palm of the hand in a way that it can swivel 360 degrees! 
 
The charm is made of 9ct gold, with British hallmarks that look to be for the maker 'S&K' (this is only partially visible due to being marked on one of the fingers to the back), 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'i' for 1964.
 
The charm is weighs approx 1.5g in total and measures approx 15.7mm long (not including the jump ring) by approx 7mm tall by approx 8.1mm wide.
 
Condition - the charm is in good vintage condition with just some light signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
