This vintage gold and enamel moving stork and baby charm would make a lovely present for someone welcoming their first baby into the family! It is wonderfully detailed throughout and the enamel detailing brings such wonderful pops of colour.
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks for 9ct gold, London and what looks to be the date letter 'g' for 1962. There is also a maker's mark which is hard to make out but we think it might be 'GJLD'.
The baby in the sling is has lovely movement as it is attached to the stork's beak via a small ring so it swings from side to side.
The charm measures approx 21.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 16.3mm wide by approx 5.6mm deep and weighs approx 2.4g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show significant signs of age and wear to the enamel which has been rubbed away in places, especially to the moving baby. There is also some light surface wear to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
