We love finding moving vintage and antique gold charms and we never know quite what we're going to find next! Like this moving vintage 1960s gold puppet show charm we think likely modelled on the famous show 'Punch & Judy' which is first recorded as being seen in Covent Garden, London, in 1662!
The charm is wonderfully detailed and has two little moving levels to the bottom that move the two figures inside from side to side.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks to the back for the maker 'FM', 9ct gold. There is what looks to be a London assay hallmark (this is now quite worn and hard to make out clearly) and what we think is the date letter 'Q' for 1961.
The charm measures approx 15.2mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 13.5mm wide by approx 4.4mm deep and weighs approx 2.15g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear and some tarnishing to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
