As romantic charm lovers, we fell head over heels when we first laid eyes on this beautiful vintage gold opening church charm! It's a perfect charm for someone who is, or is getting, married.
It's wonderfully detailed throughout, with such intricate details to the church building including open windows and the charm opens to reveal three figures inside decorated with enamel - a bride, groom and vicar.
The charm is made of 9ct gold with British hallmarks to the base for the maker 'FM', 9ct gold. There is also an assay hallmark and date letter but these are now too worn to make out clearly. We believe given the charm's style that it is likely 1960s in age.
The charm measures approx 16mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 13.5mm wide by approx 8mm deep and weighs approx 3.1g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear including some surface wear to the gold and enamel. The hinge still works well and the charm clicks closed. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
