We love finding charms that move or open, you never quite know what you're going to find next. Like this vintage, 1960s gold goose on a nest charm that we think has been designed based on one of Aesop's Fables. When the goose is lifted off the nest, it reveals a golden egg inside!
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks on the bottom for the maker 'IJLD', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'e' for 1960.
The charm weighs approx 4g and measures approx 14.3mm tall by approx 16.6mm wide (not including the jump ring) by approx 7.5mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some signs of age, including surface wear to the gold. There is a very small hole to the bottom of the charm, likely from when it was cast/made. The hinge mechanism still works well and the charm clicks closed, there is a little movement in the base when the charm is closed. The jump ring is currently soldered closed and is a nice large size. Please see photos.
*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
